Windows Anytime Upgrade was introduced in Windows Vista for the same purpose. As a result, Microsoft offers a Windows Anytime Upgrade (WAU) program for users who are looking to upgrade from lower priced edition to more premium version of Windows 7 at discount price. Not all consumers will buy the expensive Windows 7 Ultimate from start. Another SKU, Windows 7 Enterprise, is mostly used by corporate and out of touch from normal retail users. Windows 7 is available in a total of 6 editions, with each higher edition superset preceding edition with more features from the sequence of Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate.
